We run a counseling center, but we have traditionally avoided online counseling. Part of this is technical. Baguio does not have good Internet. Another is that Celia, who is the main counselor in our family, is not very comfortable with technology (she has not sent an email in her life).
However, Internet has improved (somewhat) and Celia has also embraced some technology. She is working with around three online clients regularly and 1 group. I am teaching 1 online class and supervising 2 more.
Our partners at Bukal Life Care are also ramping up their work with online counseling. There has been an upsurge in psychoemotional (and spiritual) problems in Baguio. The online group is actually to support and train those seeking to train others.
